Amid growing anticipation, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is engaging in last-minute deliberations with top party leaders to determine the next chief minister of Kerala. The decision remains pending even 11 days after the assembly election findings.
Kharge held conversations with AICC general secretary Deepa Dasmunshi and senior observers Ajay Maken and Mukul Wasnik. This follows their interactions with the state's newly-elected legislators.
Significant meetings, including a 30-minute consultation between Rahul Gandhi and Kharge, reflect the party's urgency. An additional meeting with AICC general secretary K C Venugopal suggests intensive efforts are ongoing. Kerala Congress legislative party members are scheduled to meet later today.
