Kyiv Under Siege: A Stark Signal Amid Global Diplomatic Talks
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha linked a nocturnal assault on Kyiv to the Xi-Trump summit, emphasizing Russia's threat to global security. He urged persistent pressure on Moscow, asserting that U.S. and Chinese leaders hold significant influence to terminate the conflict.
In a stark warning to global leaders, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha connected a nighttime attack on Kyiv to international deliberations at the Xi-Trump summit. The encounter underscored Moscow's persistent threat to global stability, Sybiha noted.
Sybiha highlighted the irony of the attacks occurring during a period of high-level discussions aimed at forging peace. As Putin dispatched hundreds of drones, ballistic, and cruise missiles towards Ukraine's capital, the call for an intensified stance against Russia grew louder.
Emphasizing the urgency, Sybiha contended that 'no illusions' should cloud the international community's response. He posited that by exerting pressure, world leaders, particularly from the U.S. and China, hold the potential leverage needed to end Russia's aggressive campaign.
