The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a prominent entity within the United Democratic Front (UDF), has expressed its approval of the All India Congress Committee's (AICC) decision to appoint V D Satheesan as the next Chief Minister of Kerala.
Speaking to media representatives, IUML State President Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal congratulated Satheesan and affirmed the party's complete support for this choice by the Congress High Command. Thangal emphasized the concept of 'Team UDF' as articulated by Satheesan during the recent assembly elections, indicating that this collaborative effort would characterize the new government.
Thangal praised the AICC for its democratic process, noting that the selection involved consultations with allies. He also mentioned that details regarding ministerial roles would be announced soon, with the swearing-in expected to occur on Monday.
