Cuban officials argued that their country should not remain on the US list of state sponsors of terrorism, citing the evidence presented. This assertion comes as tensions persist, exacerbated by a US energy blockade that has provoked further diplomatic confrontations.
Earlier this year, former US President Donald Trump signaled potential tariffs on nations supplying oil to Cuba and threatened intervention, heightening the ongoing tensions. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has responded by affirming Cuba's readiness to defend its sovereignty against any external threats.
