Tamil Nadu's political landscape sees a new chapter with Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay taking key roles in his inaugural government. As affirmed by the Lok Bhavan, Vijay will maintain the Home department, continuing a common trend among state leaderships.
In a significant development, veteran politician K A Sengottaiyan is appointed as the Finance Minister. Having switched allegiance from AIADMK to TVK a short time ago, the 78-year-old brings decades of experience to the table.
Alongside these appointments, a number of fresh faces have been entrusted with significant portfolios such as rural development, public works, and health. Despite these crucial appointments, several portfolios remain unallocated, with opportunities for 24 more ministers in the 234-member assembly.
