Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Kishan has expressed his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to conserve fuel amidst the ongoing West Asia crisis. Kishan, spotted riding a bicycle in Gorakhpur, emphasized the importance of Modi's diplomatic efforts on his five-nation tour to find solutions to the pressing challenges posed by the crisis.
The Prime Minister, on the fourth leg of a critical diplomatic mission, aims to engage with global leaders like those at the upcoming India-Nordic Summit in Oslo. This visit signifies a significant strategic shift towards Northern Europe, as an Indian Prime Minister visits Norway for the first time in 43 years.
Amid these geopolitical tensions, India has witnessed a sharp rise in fuel prices, with petrol and diesel rates surging by Rs 3 per litre. The conflict, primarily involving the US, Israel, and Iran, has disrupted global oil supplies, elevating Brent crude prices beyond USD 100 per barrel, emphasizing the urgent need for Modi's suggested fuel-saving measures across the nation.
