President Droupadi Murmu touched down in Sikkim for a three-day visit, marking significant diplomatic and cultural engagements in the region. Her schedule includes inspecting the India-China border and launching the 'Pink City Runners' initiative.
On Tuesday, Murmu was welcomed at Libing Helipad by Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, before taking residence at Lok Bhavan. The president will visit local attractions and institutes, fostering ties and community engagement.
The agenda also features her attendance at Sikkim University's convocation, and on her final day, she will honor the Sikkim Police with the President's Police Colour at a vibrant ceremony in Palzor Stadium.
