In a significant political development, factions within the AIADMK reconciled when influential party figure S P Velumani, accompanied by 13 other legislators, visited party leader Edappadi K Palaniswami. Their meeting took place at Palaniswami's residence, signaling a united front after recent divisions.

The visit, however, was marked by the absence of another key leader, C Ve Shanmugam, who had previously sought party support for the ruling TVK government. Following this meeting, Velumani, alongside former minister C Vijayabaskar and other key figures, approached the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker J C D Prabhakar. They conveyed their decision to operate as a single entity within the Assembly and retracted past requests for separate recognitions.
