Ravindra Chavan, the chief of Maharashtra BJP, traveled to New Delhi for an important meeting with the party's national president, Nitin Nabin, to discuss strategy ahead of the legislative council elections in the state. The conversation revolved around bolstering the party's organizational network in Maharashtra.

The discussions come at a crucial time as elections for 16 legislative council seats and a bypoll from Nagpur are set for June 18. With campaigns intensifying, the BJP is banking on its large number of corporators to secure success. The council elections were delayed due to unmet electoral college requirements but are now proceeding following local body polls.
