AIADMK's legislative party whip Agri S S Krishnamurthy has expressed concerns over alleged 'horse trading' by the ruling Thamizhaga Vazhkkai Kazhagam (TVK), stating that the party may seek a CBI investigation. Allegations involve transferring 'multi-crore cash' to elicit defections among legislators.

Recently, four AIADMK MLAs, namely K Maragatham Kumaravel, S Jayakumar, P Sathyabama, and Esakki Subaya, left the party to join TVK. This move has sparked debate and accusations of undemocratic practices. AIADMK accuses TVK leader Aadhav Arjuna of concentrating efforts on poaching members instead of addressing public issues.

Krishnamurthy claims Arjuna misused his official chamber for political gains and points to a past rejection by AIADMK. Despite recent defections, Krishnamurthy insists the AIADMK remains strong, backed by its dedicated grassroots membership. The party denies any secret alliances with the DMK, emphasizing its foundational opposition to them.

Additionally, he criticized the state government's administration, alleging a collapse in law and order due to numerous crimes within Tamil Nadu, including murders and assaults. Krishnamurthy cited recent clashes between VCK and DMK workers as evidence of growing public concern.
