Girish Chodankar Returns as Goa Congress President

The Congress has reinstated Girish Chodankar as the president of the party's Goa unit, replacing Amit Patkar. This decision was issued by Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal.

Chodankar, who had previously held this role, currently serves as the All India Congress Committee in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Alongside, senior leaders M K Shaikh, Altone D'Costa, and Carlos Alvares Ferreira have been appointed as working presidents of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee. Datta D Naik takes on the role of treasurer.

Additionally, Yuri Alemao, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, will lead the state Congress campaign committee, while MP Viriato Fernandes will chair its manifesto committee. Former MP Francisco Sardinha and GPCC Vice President Sunil Kawthankar will lead the coordination committee.
