AIADMK Allegations of TVK 'Horse-Trading' Prompt Plea to Governor

AIADMK whip Agri S S Krishnamoorthy has approached Tamil Nadu's Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar with allegations against the ruling TVK of engaging in 'horse-trading.' This follows the resignation of four AIADMK MLAs who joined TVK, reportedly after inducements.

Krishnamoorthy, joined by AIADMK Rajya Sabha member M Dhanapal, delivered a petition to the Governor requesting a CBI investigation into the alleged financial motivations behind the resignations. The AIADMK claims substantial monetary transactions were made to influence the MLAs' decision to join TVK.

The meeting was prompted by the swift acceptance of resignation letters from MLAs K Maragatham Kumaravel, S Jayakumar, P Sathyabama, and Esakki Subaya, who supported the TVK government during a recent assembly floor test. AIADMK wants punitive action against these activities and hopes the Governor will act.
