K T Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has thrown down the gauntlet to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He urged the Chief Minister to fulfill the party's campaign promises before considering future elections, emphasizing the Congress party's commitment to six major guarantees.
According to Rama Rao, the Congress administration has not delivered on crucial pledges like the Indiramma Housing Scheme and other welfare programs. He also criticized the proposal for a separate 'Farmers' DISCOM', which he claims is a strategic move to dismantle the 24-hour free power supply for farmers, contradicting assurances made by prior chief minsters.
He pointed out the contradiction in the Congress party's actions, accusing them of having an 'anti-farmer agenda' despite publicly supporting free electricity. Rama Rao called for the government to be upfront about these policies, arguing that they ultimately undermine welfare measures beneficial to the farming community.
