West Bengal CID Probes TMC Signature Forgery scandal

The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has intensified its efforts in probing a signature forgery scandal allegedly involving the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee. The CID mobilized a five-member Special Investigation Team to scrutinize the purported forgery of signatures from TMC legislators.

The controversy centers around signatures on a letter dispatched to the Assembly Speaker for appointing the Leader of the Opposition (LoP).
