Breaking his silence on the unfolding cross-border political tensions, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan called for regional unity between the Telugu states on Wednesday.
Kalyan downplayed his spat with BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR), emphasizing a brotherly bond with him and affirming that political boundaries should not limit human connection.
Addressing controversy over his Hyderabad meeting, Kalyan questioned the constraints on leaders crossing state lines, pointing to the intertwined business and cultural ties shared by Andhra and Telangana.
He asserted no interference from Telangana's Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, instead blaming local Congress figures for the dispute.
Kalyan dismissed legal challenges against him over remarks on Gaddar, terming them unsubstantiated. He turned attention to Andhra's internal capital dispute, warning YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) against intimidation tactics in Amaravati's development. He insists that the public shares ownership of Amaravati due to the sacrifices made by local farmers.
Kalyan also extended condolences to the victims of the Delhi hotel fire tragedy, labeling the incident a regrettable disaster.
