Tragic Thunderstorm Incident Claims Two Lives on Busy Highway

In a tragic accident, two men lost their lives when a tree fell on their moving car during a thunderstorm along the Lucknow-Ballia highway. The incident, which occurred near a dhaba in Rampur, was caused by strong winds that uprooted the tree.

Jitendra Verma, aged 42, who was behind the wheel, and his companion Om Prakash Verma, aged 45, were both killed instantly. The police reported that the unfortunate event took place on Wednesday night and immediately rushed a team to the spot to clear the route.

Using a bulldozer, authorities managed to remove the fallen tree. The police confirmed that the bodies have been sent for an autopsy to determine any further details about the accident.
