The Odisha government has unveiled a series of ambitious plans aimed at enhancing state infrastructure and public services. A notable scheme plans to build 500 km of disaster-resilient roads, with an allocation of Rs 1,000 crore, to ensure connectivity remains undisrupted during emergencies.
In addition to road development, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's cabinet approved the Mukhyamantri Bus Seva initiative, aimed at providing safe and affordable public transport. With a three-year budget of Rs 3,278 crore, this service will offer significant fare concessions for women, students, and other groups.
The healthcare sector also received a boost with the continuation of the 'Nirmal' and 'NIDAAN' schemes, focusing on quality care and free diagnostic services. The cabinet plans substantial investments, further endorsing Odisha's commitment to bolstering public health infrastructure.
