A devastating accident claimed the lives of five individuals and injured 18 others on State Highway 29 near Khatkad village in Bundi district. The tragedy unfolded at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday when a tractor trolley veered off the road, attempting to avoid a collision with a motorbike.
Among the deceased were three women and two girls, all residents of Chotra ka Kheda village. They were en route to a mass wedding when the horrific accident occurred. The injured, including four minor girls and a boy, were promptly rushed to Bundi district hospital, with two critically injured transferred to Kota's MBS Hospital.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and local officials have ensured medical facilities and assistance for the injured. The solemn atmosphere was palpable as community leaders and district officials, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. O P Samariya, visited the hospital to oversee the treatment.
