Delhi's Firefighting Heroes: Revolutionizing Safety with Quick Response Vehicles

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took an essential step in enhancing urban firefighting capabilities by introducing Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). These vehicles are specially designed to navigate narrow streets efficiently, promising more rapid responses to emergencies.

The QRVs come equipped with advanced firefighting systems, including water mist and foam systems, that manage small to medium fires. Rescue operations are made easier with the addition of crucial equipment such as cutters, spreaders, and fire extinguishing tools. Safety is further ensured with a built-in public announcement system and wireless communication facilities.

The initiative underscores an ambitious project, backed by a Rs 504 crore budget, aimed at establishing the Delhi Fire Service as not only India's most advanced but one of the world's finest. Plans include a fleet of 100 QRVs along with state-of-the-art tools such as articulating water tower vehicles and a 32-meter turntable ladder for high-rise rescues. This development symbolizes a significant leap forward in urban safety and firefighting strategy.
