Authorities have commenced a large-scale demolition drive in Ashok Vihar, a region in northwest Delhi, supported by extensive police deployment, according to officials.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), Bhisham Singh, confirmed the presence of approximately 250 police personnel during the ongoing operation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining order.
A Special Task Force team arrived at Jailer Wala Bagh, breaking ground with excavators to dismantle over 200 homes illegally constructed on government property, officials revealed.
