IAEA Confirms Israeli Strikes Impact Natanz Nuclear Facility

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported on Tuesday that the Israeli airstrikes on Iran's Natanz enrichment site have caused direct impacts on the underground centrifuge halls of the facility.

This is the first assessment by the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog confirming damage to the subterranean parts of Natanz, which serves as the key site for Iran's nuclear enrichment program.

According to the IAEA's analysis of high-resolution satellite imagery collected after the Friday attacks, new elements indicating direct impacts on the underground halls have been identified. Prior reports acknowledged destruction in the above-ground enrichment hall and damage to the electrical systems powering the facility.
