The Chardham Yatra has resumed in Uttarakhand following improved weather conditions, authorities confirmed on Monday. Rescuers are diligently searching for seven construction workers who went missing after a landslide and cloudburst impacted the Yamunotri highway.

District Magistrate Prashant Arya stated that recovery efforts are underway as teams scour landslide debris along the Yamuna river. Of nine missing laborers, bodies of two have been found. The magistrate and Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobhal are coordinating search operations, emphasizing that no resource will be spared in locating the workers and assisting affected families.

With stable rainfall, road restoration for the Yamunotri highway is progressing, aiming to enable traffic flow by Tuesday. The Gangotri route disruptions have been addressed and the yatra there has resumed. Pilgrims are urged to monitor weather updates and heed safety advisories.
