Narela, a sprawling sub-city at Delhi's edge, is on the cusp of a transformative journey. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has kicked off a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul, aiming to breathe new life into the long-neglected area.
Zoning in on infrastructure deficits, the DDA plans to replicate Dwarka's success, guided by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Key initiatives include road and drainage upgrades, enhanced street lighting, and improved water supply. Plans for better public transport and policing stand as crucial components.
To enhance accessibility, the Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro line, with 21 stations over 26.5 km, is underway. This Rs 6,230 crore endeavor was symbolically flagged by Prime Minister Modi. Educational and sports facilities are also slated, redefining Narela as a vibrant urban center.
