The Andhra Pradesh government is poised to decide on expanding Amaravati with land pooling efforts. Municipal Minister P Narayana announced that a cabinet sub-committee will discuss terms for the additional 40,000 acres needed to bolster the state's capital city development.
The region's TDP-led NDA government envisions a megapolis integrating Guntur, Mangalagiri, Tadepalli, and Vijayawada with Amaravati. Reports indicate that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu discussed the second phase with the cabinet previously, emphasizing its importance to the state's future.
On July 5th, approval was granted for pooling an extra 20,494 acres within the Amaravati region. Discussions on precise allocations remain, but Minister Narayana is confident about finishing Amaravati's construction in three years.
