On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to speed up the construction of roads across Gorakhpur and Basti divisions. This directive came following proposals submitted by MPs and MLAs.
In a high-level meeting, Adityanath assessed road infrastructure plans for each constituency, emphasizing the importance of aligning projects with public needs and ensuring quick execution. The CM also focused on inter-state and four-lane road connectivity, highlighting the benefits to the Gorakhpur and Basti regions.
In response to flood-related road damage, Adityanath instructed the PWD to create a special action plan, utilizing disaster relief funds if needed. He also urged rapid response to proposals concerning religious site connectivity and emphasized elected leaders' roles in advancing development.
