Severe flooding and landslides ravaged parts of China on Monday as swollen rivers and intensified rainfall led to the deaths of at least four people and left many displaced. More than 4,400 residents in Beijing's suburban Miyun area have been resettled, while emergency rescues continue as authorities warn of more intense rain in the coming days.

State broadcaster CCTV reported that 41 rivers have flooded, highlighting data from China's Ministry of Water Resources. The capital Beijing issued its highest-level flood alert, as the Central Meteorological Observatory predicted continuing heavy rainfall over the next three days, significantly disrupting daily life and threatening infrastructure.

Reports from CCTV show severe waterlogging with cars and trucks stranded or submerged in flooded areas. Over 10,000 people have been affected by power cuts, while the East Asian monsoon continues to bring extreme weather. In Shanxi province, substantial flooding affected roads and agricultural land, as the nation braces for more storms amid global warming concerns.
