A tragic accident in Jharkhand's Deoghar district claimed the lives of at least six Kanwariyas and left 24 others injured. The collision involved a bus and a truck loaded with gas cylinders. Conflicting reports about the death toll, with an MP claiming 18 fatalities, have surfaced.
The incident took place around 5.30 am near Jamuniya forest in the Mohanpur Police Station area. Following the crash, the bus moved uncontrolled, striking a brick stack. Aid efforts are ongoing, with some victims shifted to AIIMS, Deoghar, while others receive treatment at Sadar Hospital.
Officials, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Governor Santosh Gangwar, offered their condolences. The tragic event has shown the risks faced by devotees, who are fervent followers of Lord Shiva, on their pilgrimages.
