Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has called for comprehensive reforms to tackle pollution in Hyderabad, committing to transform the city into a cleaner and environmentally-friendly space.
In a meeting with municipal officials, Reddy stressed the need for long-term plans, such as underground drainage systems and relocating polluting industries. He highlighted the importance of learning from cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai to address urban challenges.
To kickstart these initiatives, the CM announced a ban on single-use plastics and measures to curb construction waste. Infrastructure projects, including the Musi Riverfront and Hyderabad Metro Rail, received directives for expedited progress to align with the city's growth demands.
