Former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy has been credited with playing a pivotal role in the development of Hyderabad, particularly in the sanctioning of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, according to Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
On the sixth anniversary of Reddy's death, leaders including Venkat Reddy gathered at his memorial by Hussain Sagar lake to pay homage to the leader. Reddy, described as 'Ajatashatru,' was instrumental in sanctioning substantial funds for state development, including Rs 10,000 crore across Telangana and Rs 400 crore specifically for Nalgonda district.
