Aaditya Thackeray, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has made an urgent appeal to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Thackeray is calling for the swift handover of keys for 556 newly redeveloped housing units in Worli's BDD chawls.
In his communication to Fadnavis, Thackeray emphasized the necessity of distributing keys before the upcoming Ganesh festival. This move, he argues, would allow the beneficiaries to celebrate the festival in their new homes, moving away from temporary accommodations they've been residing in.
Thackeray, representing the Worli assembly constituency, also highlighted that vacating transit accommodations could accelerate other redevelopment projects. The Worli constituency is home to numerous BDD chawls that are currently undergoing redevelopment.
