Delhi minister Parvesh Verma declared two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and slow vehicles should be kept off the newly inaugurated Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-II) to avert potential accidents.
At a meeting chaired on Wednesday, Verma urged the NHAI to immediately construct service roads along the expressway, enhancing local connectivity while ensuring safe usage.
Verma emphasized that UER-II is key for decongesting Delhi's roads, but underscored safety concerns due to its high-speed design. He reaffirmed the necessity for a permanent drainage system in vulnerable areas and stressed inter-agency collaboration for the project's success.
