On Swachh Bharat Diwas, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde lauded the state's success in eliminating open defecation, calling it a significant milestone of the Swachh Bharat Mission. During the state-level 'Swachhotsav' programme, he emphasized the importance of community efforts for proper waste management in both rural and urban areas.

Bagde highlighted the remarkable progress he witnessed in every village with the construction of new toilets. The governor commended the officials and districts that excelled in the cleanliness drive, further releasing publications by the urban governance department and administering a cleanliness pledge to attendees.

Recalling historical figures like Bappa Rawal, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Mahatma Gandhi, Bagde urged citizens to uphold values of morality and shared responsibility. Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra also emphasized that the enthusiasm for cleanliness has become a cultural celebration.
