Mumbai Faces Temporary Water Cut Amid Electrical Upgrades

Mumbai's civic administration has declared a 10% water cut for a three-day period next week, affecting the island city and eastern suburbs. The measure comes amid essential electrical meter upgrade work scheduled at Pise and Panjrapur water treatment facilities located in the Thane district.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the upgrade project will occur from October 7 to October 9, between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM. During this timeframe, residents in A, B, E, F-South, F-North of the city, as well as L, N, and S wards in the suburbs, can expect disruptions in water supply.
The civic body has advised residents to store sufficient water prior to the cut and to practice judicious use throughout the affected days.
