In Thane's Manpada area, a major fire erupted at a foam material godown on Tuesday evening, triggering an immediate emergency response. Firefighting operations are actively ongoing, with no casualties reported so far, according to a civic official.
Chief of Thane Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Cell, Yasin Tadvi, confirmed that the fire began around 8 PM at the Rai Master Compound near St. Xavier's High School on Ghodbunder Road. Efforts include deploying two fire engines, a jumbo tanker, and a water tanker.
Thick smoke from the foam material has complicated firefighting operations. The cause of the blaze remains unknown, but local authorities are working tirelessly to contain it.
