The Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative, a collaboration between HCL Group, UpLink, and the World Economic Forum, launches its fifth global challenge aiming to transform water systems. With applications open from April to June 2026, this initiative seeks innovations in water reliability, process redesign, and system intelligence to address climate and industrial pressures.
NOIDA, India: A bold step towards addressing global water challenges is being taken as the HCL Group, in collaboration with UpLink and the World Economic Forum, launches the fifth global challenge titled Transforming Water Systems. The initiative invites submissions from April 22 to June 4, 2026, with the aim of fostering groundbreaking innovations in water system management.
This program, part of a five-year, CHF 15 million partnership known as the Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative, seeks to create a robust ecosystem for freshwater solutions worldwide. By focusing on supply reliability, process redesign, and enhanced decision-making systems, the challenge aims to generate impactful solutions to strengthen water infrastructure amidst climate variability and industrial demands.
Selected participants will benefit from substantial financial awards and access to a global network of industry experts, policymakers, and investors. The initiative has already facilitated significant water savings and continues to drive industrial transformation and climate resilience through strategic funding and partnerships.
