Rajasthan continues to battle scorching heat as temperatures soar beyond 40°C across most parts of the state. On Friday, Barmer emerged as the hottest, with a searing maximum of 44.1 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department.

The Jaipur Meteorological Centre reported that Sri Ganganagar recorded a high of 43.9°C, followed closely by Jaisalmer and Churu, each at 43.6°C. Bikaner's mercury hit 43.5°C, Pilani recorded 43.4°C, and Jodhpur saw 43.0°C.

Officials predict further heat intensification, with temperatures rising by 1-2 degrees in the coming days, sparking isolated heatwave conditions. Meanwhile, a weak western disturbance could result in dust storms and light rains in the region.
