Urgent Call for Enhanced Fire Safety Measures in High-Rise Districts

In a crucial meeting held at the residence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP MLA Dhirendra Singh highlighted significant shortcomings in the fire safety infrastructure of Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad. Singh called for immediate enhancements to safeguard residents in these high-rise districts.
Singh stressed the urgent need for high-capacity fire tenders and hydraulic platforms, capable of reaching up to 40 floors, to be deployed in Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad. He underscored the criticality of mandatory inspections and certification of fire safety systems in all high-rise buildings.
With a high concentration of residential and commercial skyscrapers, the safety of lakhs is at stake, Singh warned. He advocated for regular mock drills, awareness programs, and strict enforcement of safety audits to enhance readiness and response capabilities of the fire department amidst rising urbanization.
