Revolutionizing Sanitation: Major Water Management Projects Approved for Baramulla and Rajouri

The Jammu and Kashmir government has greenlit ambitious water management projects valued at over Rs 72 crore for the districts of Baramulla and Rajouri. These projects are designed to fortify sanitation frameworks, facilitate scientific sewage treatment, and elevate public health standards, according to official statements released on Saturday.
The government, led by Omar Abdullah, has earmarked Rs 37.96 crore for Baramulla and Rs 34.43 crore for Rajouri. Aimed at addressing waste water management issues in these urban localities, the initiatives will also work to prevent pollution in water bodies, thereby boosting public health and living conditions for residents.
The Housing & Urban Development Department has crafted Detailed Project Reports, vetted by NIT Srinagar, under the framework of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, the spokesperson divulged. Utilizing Sequential Batch Reactor technology for high efficiency, these projects are slated for completion within 18 months.
