In a tragic incident in southwest China's Guangxi region, one worker has died and nine remain missing after a pickup truck plunged off a bridge on Saturday.
State media reports that the truck was transporting 15 workers to a sweet potato farm when it careened into a river while crossing a low-water bridge in Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County.
Rescue operations intensified on Sunday with more than 700 personnel equipped with underwater sonar, dinghies, and drones. Adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain and potential landslides, are complicating the search and rescue efforts.
