Argentine Rising Star Franco Colapinto Joins Alpine F1 Team

Renault-owned Alpine Formula One team has shaken up its racing lineup by bringing Argentine Franco Colapinto to replace Jack Doohan for the upcoming five races. The significant change kicks off at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Executive advisor Flavio Briatore, who is poised to be the new team principal, stated that the decision to introduce Colapinto is intended to explore fresh strategies. Despite the swap, Doohan remains supported by the team after a season short on points.

Colapinto, who made his mark replacing Logan Sargeant at Williams, is excited to join, aiming to deliver strong results. Doohan expressed appreciation for the opportunity and vowed to keep pushing towards his Formula One aspirations.
