In a strategic move, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed Mayank Agarwal to replace Devdutt Padikkal, who is sidelined due to a right hamstring injury, for the remainder of the IPL 2025. This change was announced on Wednesday as part of the IPL Media Advisory.
Mayank Agarwal, a seasoned player with 127 IPL matches and 2,661 runs under his belt, joined RCB for a sum of INR 1 Crore. Agarwal brings with him a wealth of experience, including one IPL century and 13 fifties.
In an intense match, RCB took on CSK, setting the stage with a formidable 213/5, thanks to stellar performances by Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli, alongside Romario Shepherd's late-game heroics.
