Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a gripping 2-1 victory against Arsenal in the second leg of the semifinals, held at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night. This victory ensured PSG's advancement on a 3-1 aggregate score, following their earlier 1-0 win at Arsenal's home ground.

Arsenal initiated the game energetically, with formidable attempts from Declan Rice and Gabriel Martinelli. Martin Odegaard's shot was adeptly stopped by PSG's goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG came close to scoring as well, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's shot hitting the post. Fabian Ruiz finally broke the stalemate in the 27th minute with a goal from 18 yards out.

Despite PSG's attacking momentum, the score remained 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, Bukayo Saka's chance was blocked by Donnarumma. Achraf Hakimi then doubled PSG's lead in the 72nd minute, aided by Ousmane Dembele. Arsenal got on the scoreboard in the 76th minute with Saka's goal, but couldn't equalize, sending PSG into the finals against Inter Milan on June 1.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta lauded his team's efforts, attributing their exit largely to PSG's standout goalkeeper. Arteta emphasized the importance of resilience in high-stakes competitions, expressing pride in his squad's performance despite numerous injuries.

PSG manager Luis Enrique celebrated the team's triumph, highlighting their youthful energy, character, and style of play. Enrique noted reaching the Champions League final was a historic goal for the club, furthering their aspirations on the European stage.
