Bihar Shines as E-Sports Debut Steals the Show at KIYG

Bihar emerged as a prominent force as e-sports took center stage at the Khelo India Youth Games, debuting as a demonstration sport this Thursday.

Eight states competed in popular e-sports disciplines such as BGMI, Chess, Street Fighter 6, and eFootball. BGMI maintained its position as India's favorite, with 16 teams vying for top finishes. Bihar's A and B teams clinched first and third place, respectively.

Tamil Nadu's Arnav Rajiv Parikh led the eFootball console event, with Bihar's Tanav Raj and Maharashtra's Ronit Sagar Satam securing second and third. Local talents dominated Chess, with Rupesh B Ramchandra and Amrit Raunak taking top spots. Street Fighter 6 saw Telangana's Mandalapu Sreejesh triumph.
