The much-anticipated IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on Thursday faced an unexpected interruption. Security concerns arose from air raid alerts near the venue, leading to a blackout in the hill town.
Initially thought to be a floodlight malfunction, it soon became clear that the threat was more serious, prompting authorities to evacuate the stadium.
At the moment of suspension, Punjab was comfortably placed at 122 for 1, with Prabhsimran Singh on a solid 50 off 28 balls and his partner Priyansh Arya having scored a quick 70 before being dismissed.
