Amidst unforeseen circumstances, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has orchestrated the use of a special Vande Bharat express train to ferry players of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, along with the broadcast crew, from Dharamshala to Delhi. This decision follows the abrupt cancellation of the IPL 2025 match between the two teams due to logistical concerns.

BCCI sources report that approximately 300 individuals, including players, support staff, and broadcasters, will be aboard the high-speed train to ensure their safe passage. This arrangement was made necessary after a power failure at the HPCA Stadium led to the game's suspension. Punjab Kings officially confirmed the cancellation through their social media outlets.

In the broader context of regional tension, Indian air defense successfully intercepted multiple Pakistani missiles and drones targeting areas such as Satwari and Jaisalmer. In reaction to recent threats, nationwide precautionary measures include enforced blackouts in key regions to bolster security. Meanwhile, cricket fans expressed their frustration, leaving the stadium amid anti-Pakistan slogans.
