In a stunning display of talent, India's Karishma Sanil secured the javelin throw crown at the UAE Athletics Women's Gala 2025 held in Dubai. The competition took place on Mother's Day at the Dubai Police Club Stadium, where the 24-year-old triumphed over her peers with a throw of 53.33 meters.
In the thrilling long jump segment, Indian athletes Ancy Sojan and Shaili Singh demonstrated remarkable performances, securing second and third places, respectively. Sojan achieved a season's best jump of 6.54 meters, while Singh's leap measured at 6.48 meters. The event was won by Arab Games champion Esraa Owis, who leaped 6.66 meters.
Beyond these remarkable feats, the Indian contingent delivered solid performances across various events. Moumita Mondal claimed second in the 200m race, clocking 24.61 seconds, while Niharika Vashisht set a personal best in the triple jump with 13.58 meters, finishing third among the competition.
