India Names Squad for Women's Hockey Pro League European Tour

India named a 24-member squad for the European leg of the women's Pro League hockey tournament, with midfielder Salima Tete as captain. The team is scheduled to face Australia, Argentina, Belgium, and China, playing in London, Antwerp, and Berlin from June 14 to 29. Forward Navneet Kaur will serve as Tete's vice-captain.

The roster includes goalkeepers Savita and Bichu Devi Kharibam, along with a legion of seasoned players like Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam in defense, Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke in midfield, and Deepika spearheading the forward line. Coach Harendra Singh emphasized the balance of youth and experience in the squad, noting that all players showed commitment during recent camps and matches in Australia.
