India Prepares for Historic World Para Athletics Championships

India is gearing up to host what is anticipated to be the 'best-ever' World Para Athletics Championships, as declared by Paralympic Committee of India President, Devendra Jhajharia. The event, marking its debut in India, will unfold at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from September 26 to October 5.

The championships will showcase over 2,500 athletes from more than 100 nations, vying for 186 medals. This significant sports occasion is set to reveal India's capacity to conduct global sports events, paving the way for ambitions of hosting the 2036 Olympics and Paralympics.

With meticulous preparations underway, including the renovation of the venue and the provision of premium lodging for athletes, India aims to present a landmark event in its sports history.
