India's cricket wonder, Yashasvi Jaiswal, revealed the tactics that powered his impressive Test debut in the challenging English conditions at Headingley. With an unwavering focus and refined technique, Jaiswal shone with an elegant 101 off 158 balls, facing England's formidable pace attack, minus stalwarts James Anderson and Stuart Broad.

Jaiswal's extraordinary performance marks his accomplishment of hitting Test centuries on debut in the West Indies, Australia, and England. The 23-year-old's strategy involves meticulous planning and valuable insights from seasoned players like KL Rahul. "KL Rahul's experience offers crucial understanding about playing strategy and maximizing run opportunities," Jaiswal shared with Star Sports.

Preparing on Headingley's dry wicket, Jaiswal fine-tuned his skills in two unofficial Tests against the England Lions, a training camp in Beckenham, and an intra-squad game just prior to the Test. He emphasized readiness and mental fortitude, aiming to extend his innings and set a solid foundation for the team. Despite falling to Ben Stokes' lethal delivery, Jaiswal's efforts, alongside the unbeaten partnership between Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, helped India resist defeat at this venue since 2002.
