Former Indian cricketer Ishwar Pandey, who now serves as the head coach for Rewa Jaguars, expressed confidence that right-arm fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will play all five Test matches in the current England series.
The chairman of selectors, Ajit Agarkar, announced Bumrah's inclusion in the squad for the upcoming series, stating that Bumrah has been advised to avoid playing consecutive Tests to manage his workload. This decision comes after Bumrah experienced a stress reaction in his back during the final Test of the Australian series in January.
Bumrah, who spoke before the retirement of Rohit and Virat, revealed he had discussions with the BCCI and his medical team about managing his workload effectively. Although Bumrah desired a leadership role, he prioritized cricket over captaincy, opting to focus more on his game. He is currently competing in the Leeds Test at Headingley.
